Wizards of Waverly Place Visits The San Jorge Children's Hospital

San Juan, Puerto Rico - The magic of Disney touched the doors of The San Jorge Children’s Hospital this past Saturday morning when cast members from the popular Disney Channel program "Wizards of Waverly Place," visited the hospital. The artists visiting with the children, offering their warmth and charm were Jake T. Austin, who plays Max Russo in the series. Also David DeLuise who plays the father, Jerry Russo and María Canals, who portrays Theresa Russo, the mother. The artists took a break from filming their Disney Channel movie on the Island to visit the children at San Jorge's. The actors were clearly moved and impressed with the children and the organization. The patient's excitement and happy faces were evident throughout the visit. Jake T. Austin identified a lot with the patients mentioning to them his mother works as a nurse in an Oncology Unit in New York. Also, DeLuise said that he had a lot of fun making the kids smile. "We thank everyone for their visit. But I must point out that the young Jake T. Austin, who has family in Guánica took the initiative to visit the hospital and offer a very pleasant surprise to all the children," said Domingo Cruz Vivaldi, Senior VP of Operations of The San Jorge Children’s Hospital.

San Jorge is the only private pediatrics hospital in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. It services all the pediatric sub-specialties thus making it a unique institution in its class. In addition to the specialized units, such as bone marrow transplants, plastic surgery, asthma, diabetes, poisoning, emergency room, oncology, pediatrics intensive care, operating room with induction unit, etc. San Jorge Children’s Hospital houses 250 pediatricians and 100 specialized pediatric doctors.

JAKE T. AUSTIN ENTRE LOS ESTRELLAS DE DISNEY VISITANDO LOS NIÑOS DE SAN JORGE CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

San Juan, Puerto Rico – La magia de Disney tocó las puertas del San Jorge Children’s Hospital durante la mañana del sábado, 14 de marzo al estar presente parte de los actores del Programa “Wizards of Waverly Place”, popular serie del canal de Disney.Los artistas que visitaron a los niños para ofrecer su alegría y carisma fueron Jake T. Austin que personaliza a Max en la serie. Asimismo, David DeLuise quien interpreta a Jerry padre de Max, y Maria Canals, caracterizando a Theresa, madre del joven.Los artistas aprovecharon para hacer un receso en la grabación de la película que están filmando en la Isla y decidieron visitar a los niños del Hospital. Los actores se expresaron muy conmovidos con la dinámica de la visita y comunicaron su sentir al poder apreciar la felicidad que reflejaban las caritas de cada uno de los pacientes. Jake T. Austin se identifico mucho con los pacientes ya que nos comentó que su mamá trabaja como enfermera en una Unidad de Oncología. De la misma manera, DeLuise señaló que se divirtió mucho haciendo a los niños sonreír. “Agradecemos a todos por su visita. Pero debo señalar que el joven Jake T. Austin, quien tiene familiares en Guánica tomo la iniciativa de visitar el Hospital y ofrecerle una grata sorpresa a todos los niños. Es un acto de buena fe y humanidad que no podemos ignorar y que deseamos agradecer.” indica Domingo Cruz Vivaldi, Senior VP of Operations de San Jorge Children’s Hospital.
